General Benefits

Insubond spray foam insulation is the most effective product on the market for achieving the U values required by the Building Regulations with the minimum of insulation depth. A liquid when applied, it seeks out and seals unwanted air leakage reaching awkward spaces and bonding within seconds.

Spray foam is particularly suitable for historic and listed buildings where it is important to maintain the character of the building. In new buildings, its speed of application and minimal depths can have a beneficial impact on both the programme of work and available space.

Roofs

Insubond spray foam is used to create a warm deck construction without the need for a ventilated airspace in loft conversions, renovations and new buildings where the roof is part of a useable room. Using our extremely effective insulation maximises exposure of timbers and availability of space. No air gap is required between insulation and felt or membrane. Storage voids at eaves level form part of the insulated space without draughts or the need for fibre glass.

Walls

The versatility of spray foam means that Insubond insulation can be applied directly onto solid wall surfaces to give an insulated, damp resistant covering which eliminates the problems of rain penetration and rising damp. The foam can be plastered directly over using a bonding plaster.

Alternatively, foam can be applied in between timber frame studwork, sealing all gaps and then be covered over conventionally with plasterboard.

Floors

Ground floors are insulated by spray foam applied directly onto concrete with a conventional applied on top. Insubond spray foam insulation is ideal for application to the underside of upstairs underfloor heating as it can be installed from below.
